The short version
GarageCalc does not require an account. Calculations run in your browser. We use cookieless analytics to understand site usage, and third-party hosting and fonts process technical connection data as described below.
Calculator inputs
Calculations run locally using JavaScript rather than a calculation server. Some tools use URL parameters to share or prefill a comparison. Information included in a URL can appear in browser history, shared links and requests to hosting or analytics providers. Avoid putting personal or sensitive information into URLs or site search.
Hosting and technical data
The Site is served by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure processes technical connection data (such as IP addresses) transiently for security and delivery purposes, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Cookies and analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate usage and performance reports. Both services describe their analytics as cookieless. Ahrefs processes page URLs, referrers and browser/device information, and uses a daily changing hash derived from IP address and user agent to count daily visitors. This is different from collecting no data. See Ahrefs' data description and Cloudflare Web Analytics for their processing details.
Fonts and email
We load fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google's servers, which receive technical request information including your IP address to deliver the font files. See Google's explanation. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so we can respond to your request.
Your rights (GDPR)
Visitors from the EU/EEA have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection regarding personal data, subject to applicable conditions. You can contact us about privacy or a data request at hello@garagecalc.com.
Children
The Site does not target children. Please do not send us personal information about children.
Changes
Any changes to this policy will be posted on this page with an updated date.
